I’m Colleen, and postcard collecting is one of my hobbies!

I started collecting cards when a friend of mine told me about postcrossing.com, and I decided to give it a whirl. At present, I have over 350 cards in my collection, spanning four full photo albums, and my cards have traveled over 2-1/2 million kilometers to places throughout the world. Don’t believe me? This hobby may sound a bit dorky, and admittedly, it does to me as well. But it’s actually a pretty cool outlet for several interests of mine. I love art, history, and world culture among other things. Every postcard I receive motivates me to do some reading on the country it came from, or look up the artist it portrays. I’ve learned a lot from this geeky little hobby!

In addition to postcard collecting, I draw, paint, write, and act in my spare time. As you can tell, my soul belongs to the arts. I also have a rather obsessive passion for cats, despite having only one feline myself. I would estimate about a quarter of the postcards I receive are cat cards. =^.^=
